Put your phone on airplane mode and join us at the ZACUSCA Cooking Party – a culinary event blending the traditions of our grandparents’ cooking with the humor and creativity of younger generations.

With bursts of color, aroma, and culinary energy, we’ll transform the INSPIRO garden into a living laboratory of Romanian cuisine! Here, old recipes come alive through the energy of the participants, and zacusca becomes more than just a pantry treat—it’s a celebration of human connection, shared experiences, and collective joy.

Host

Eugenia Dobrescu – nutritionist and experienced cook, passionate about bringing people together to celebrate autumn’s abundance and keep Romanian traditions alive.

What to bring

• An apron

• A knife and cutting board

• Your favorite zacusca recipe

• A blanket or picnic chair

• A water bottle

• A snack for yourself and/or to share (optional)

• Any “secret” spices or ingredients to make the zacusca extra delicious ;)

Ingredient prep

Choose an ingredient and start preparing it. You can do this on your own or together with other participants. Eugenia, the host of the event, will always be there to guide and support you. Join in creating something we’ll all enjoy at the end—and later, maybe even share the INSPIRO Zacuscă with others you care about.

Time around the fire for cooking and socializing

After all our work, we’ll take a well-deserved break and hand things over to Father Fire, who will transform the prepared ingredients into a delicious spread—perfect on a slice of toasted bread.

We’ll sit around the fire to get to know each other better, share zacuscă recipes and other culinary stories, and offer gratitude to the Earth for its abundance.

During these hours, we’ll also enjoy another gastronomic surprise—which, for now, remains a secret.

Each participant will receive a jar of zacuscă.

Depending on how much is left, there may also be an option to purchase additional jars.
