How inspiro showed up

The Problem

Three Countries, Three Kids,
One Life-Changing Revelation

Between 2018 and 2022, we lived with our three kids in three countries across two continents: Spain, Brazil, and Romania, experiencing completely different cultures and ways of living. We noticed striking differences in how families connected, both online and offline. As parents with a tech background, we thought we understood the role of technology in our lives. But we were about to learn something that would change everything.

Like most parents, we believed we could control our children's relationship with technology through rules and boundaries. We felt confident in our offline-focused lifestyle, especially during our time in the gorgeous nature of Bahia, Brazil, where our kids thrived without devices. Then came the moment that shattered our assumptions and opened our eyes to a crisis affecting families worldwide.

The Awakening

How Two Weeks of "No Limits" Nearly Broke Our Family Forever

Our awakening happened in 2020, during the pandemic, when we shared our Brazilian home with another Romanian family of five. Their children were slightly older than our soon-to-become teens, and they lived with no screen time limits: no parental control, no restrictions, and apparently no stress for the parents. We agreed with our kids to make this co-living experiment and see what we could learn.

Within just two weeks, our 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son went from enjoying nature to experiencing a complete mental breakdown from limitless screen time and social media overuse. We'll never forget the hours-long discussion we had on our terrace, while the other family was away, where our children confessed they couldn't take it anymore and couldn't help themselves from joining the screen parade.

That's when we first realized that the problem wasn't just the technology; it was that no one was creating alternatives that were genuinely more appealing than screens. Everyone else was trying to restrict, limit, and control, but the real solution was making offline life so compelling that people would choose it naturally. We discovered that families don't need stricter rules; they need experiences worth putting devices away for.

Years later, peer pressure finally won. In our son's group of friends, he was the only one not owning a device, and we finally gave in to his first screen on his 12th birthday. Six months later, when he received his first smartphone, the situation got even worse, due to the frustrating time limits these devices came with (as opposed to all his friends). We lived through more than one year of daily battles that nearly broke our family, growing in intensity with each new screen. Every approach we tried: limits, no limits, rewards, punishments, written agreements, felt like fighting a losing war. It was our psychotherapist who finally confirmed what we'd learned from that Brazil experience: the solution isn't controlling screen time, it's creating irresistible offline experiences and building community around shared values.

Our Mission

Building a Movement That Proves Real Life Can Beat Virtual Life

inspiro is about creating a movement that spreads from Romania across Europe and then worldwide, proving that ethical, sustainable approaches can transform how people relate to technology. When we see people everywhere sitting together but staring at separate screens, we know this generation and the following ones deserve something better.

We're committed to building inspiro as a respectable example in the business world: no manipulation, no consumerism, no wasteful practices. Every decision we make honors both people and our planet, because real change can only come from real values. We envision inspiro becoming a global network where generosity, solidarity, and overall well-being redefine what community means, offering people the opportunity to feel seen, appreciated, and useful in ways that go beyond material benefits.

Our Solution

Crafting moments so rich,
the digital fades away

Unlike every other solution that tells families what NOT to do, inspiro creates experiences so engaging that screens become boring. We discovered that when you combine community, purpose, and genuine fun, people naturally gravitate toward REAL life. Our multi-generational ecosystem means young adults don't just attend events; they become contributors, mentors, employees, and ultimately leaders who create the next generation of experiences.

When people just show up to our events, they don't just get a few hours away from screens; they rediscover parts of themselves they forgot existed. Kids remember how to play without devices. Parents remember how to talk and play with their children. Adults recall how to interact with each other. Young adults find the belonging they've been seeking online in a real-world community.

Sustainable change happens through environments, not willpower. We don't fight screen addiction; we make real life more addictive than virtual life. inspiro is more than just a community; it is a network of people who share their skills, time, and energy to build authentic relationships. Each interaction brings not only a service but also moments of connection, warm conversations, and the feeling of having someone by your side when life throws obstacles at you.

Our Vision

People Naturally Choosing
REAL Connections Over Screens

We envision a world where family dinners are filled with laughter instead of silence, where children play outside until dark, and where young adults choose community gatherings over endless scrolling. Families who currently battle over screen time will instead plan their weekends around inspiro events. By 2030, we'll have proven that Romanian families can lead the world in digital well-being, despite having one of the fastest internet networks in Europe, not through restriction, but through renaissance.

Looking back, everything that happened, from that painful Brazil experience to the twelve months of smartphone battles, had a purpose. We are very grateful for every tear shed and every lesson learned, because it pushed us to start this amazing project. Now we're extending and sharing our experience with all families who are curious enough to try something different than ordinary.

This movement starts with people like you. You don't need special skills, expensive equipment, or perfect children. You don't have to overcome years of bad habits overnight. You just need to show up and experience more REAL life. Because when you just show up, you become part of the solution our world needs, and you create memories for life.

inspiro is a community with open doors for you and an open invitation for anyone who wants to experience something different: attend unique events, create authentic connections, disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and find themselves in a warm and welcoming environment. Here, every person is welcomed with joy, regardless of background, experiences, or needs. Come in, explore, be inspired, and enjoy the feeling of being part of something bigger, where every contribution is appreciated, and every moment becomes a step towards a more united world.
